Earth without Art is just "eh"
We are a group of 5 students from NTU's Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. We decided to come together to build the first arts crowdfunding website in Singapore that supports local artist.
Our Identity
Our Purpose
Assist local artists in getting fundings to get their work out. We believe that the local art scene is not short on talent, but merely lacks monetary support to fund and produce their works.
The local art scene is still largely funded by the Government, mostly through the NAC's grant. However, only a handful of independent artists are able to meet the NAC's requirements to receive financial support for their creative endeavours. Some struggle to make ends meet while practicing their craft. Others end up giving their passion up.
Situation
Our mission is to empower Singaporean artists to take ownership of their own artwork and encourage locals to connect with them through a simple platform
The Community
#SupportLocal is built around the idea of a community of support.
We can spread the word and raise the awareness of local talents and artists to many people. Resources and support are our middle name and we utilise them to help the artists get their masterpiece out to the public.
