In September 2016 I attended a talk by Singapore Council of Women’s Organisation (SCWO) to share my experience as a theatre practitioner in Singapore. I came to a realisation that there was no form of representation for people of my body type; the big, the curvy and f(l)abulous. Many topics regarding body image was discussed, with no encouraging viewpoints but from me. From there, I thought of producing a play that embody all these ideals about image acceptance and body positivity.

Aside from sponsorships and my own funding, I wish to raise another $4,000. This is more than sufficient to book a bigger venue. I wish to increase the quality and mood of the entire play by using specialised lighting equipments. Taking into consideration the remuneration for my stage crew, the money above will sufficiently cover this cost as well.
After a few months of conceptualisation and pilot study with potential audience of this play, I realised that many were interested to watch it. This means I have to secure a stage venue that can accommodate more people. This eats beyond my initial budget of $3,000 available.
