Born in 1980 in Shanghai China, my family moved to Singapore when I was 3. I started writing at the age of 7 in an attempt to improve my English. As I write, I fell in love with English and I realised I could do this forever. My family discouraged me and they did not support my decision to be an author saying that I cannot make a living in Singapore and that I am too young to make such an important decision. I wanted to prove them wrong and I released my first children’s book at 9 and it has sold over 10,000 copies. With such a surprised outcome, I became more inspired and more firm in my decision. I then became a teacher for 6 years before deciding to quit my job to pursue my dreams. I wanted to help more people and teach them proper English on a more relaxed tone because I realised the importance of speaking proper English in this modern day and age.

The Journey
The funds raised will be used for the production cost for the release of “How to survive in Singapore” and the extra funds will go into my organisation of helping children from troubled families by equipping them with writing and life skills.
In this modern day and age, it is important to speak proper English and teens who grow up in troubled families, mother-tongue and dialects speaking families do not speak proper English. Therefore I want to help them improve their English and equip them with this life skill so they can give back to the society.
