Coming from a troubled childhood, I am a student who frequently skipped school. With the help of my secondary 2 English teacher Mr Lim, I slowly got back on the right track in life. I then made a promise to myself that I will not revert back to my old ways and that I realised that there was so much more to life.
I am therefore very appreciative and thankful that I got on the right path in life before it is too late and I want to spread the meaning of life to other people, especially troubled teens. I became a teacher to give back what I had learnt, by opting to teach only in troubled school and I dance on weekends for the Singapore Dance Theatrics Company to satisfy my inner passion. Symphony of Weights is the story that I want to show to the rest of Singapore.
The Journey
The Challenge
After dancing for so long at the Singapore Dance Theatrics Company, I can only do showcase and performances under the company’s name. If I want to do my own personal showcase with my own personal story, I need to raise all the funds by myself.
These funds will cover the rental fees of the performance venue, fees for local dancers that are dancing with me, lighting and sound specialists and of course emcees and ushers so that you get the best showcase experience just like any other dance showcase.
The Goal
In order to provide you with the best showcase experience, I hope I can hit the goal so that my team and I can totally focus on rehearsing for our dance to bring you the story that I want to spread and the showcase that you deserve. With your help, my story can get through and more people will be aware on the situation of troubled teens.
